Why is the topic important?

The performance and health of employees are decisive factors for the economic success of a company. In this context, however, the statistics of the health insurance companies have unfortunately been showing rising figures for mental illnesses for years. Legislators have reacted to this, and since 2013 employers have been obliged to have the possible work-related psychological causes of illnesses analyzed for their company in the risk assessment.

The basis for this form of risk assessment is also the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Based on the results of a risk assessment, the employer must document the necessary occupational safety measures.

In addition to this obligation, however, it is also possible - as our investigations show - to pass the freestyle at the same time, i.e. to use the risk assessment as a tool for organizational development. We are currently further developing our basis of 20 years of experience with mental stress analyses for precisely tailored application in the digital transformation and deriving practice-oriented instructions for implementation. In this way, the hazard analysis also provides effective long-term input for technology development and can counteract "digital stress".
